ORAL PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS

Important points in brief:

Our Conference hall will be equipped with a PC/ Laptop and a data projector for PowerPoint presentations only. You can review your presentation at the Conference hall, where it must be handed in at least one hour before the session (presentations cannot be handed in once the session has started). Transport your data via CD-Rom, memory stick, zip drive or your own laptop. |

Preparation |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
Store ALL your files in a single folder (especially videos). |
|
| |
|
|
Avoid animations and make sure video(s) play automatically when slide is displayed. |
|
| |
|
|
Colours: |
|
| |
|
|
use light-coloured fonts for texts (white/yellow) on dark backgrounds or vice versa. A strong contrast is important for good legibility. |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
Legibility check: |
|
| |
|
|
step back 1,5 m from your computer/ laptop, the text should be easily readable on presentation mode (if not, you are using a too small font!) |

|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
PowerPoint versions from 2003 to 2007 may be used. |

| |

|
|

How to hand in your MS-PowerPoint file |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
Please come to the technician in the conference hall the day before or at least one hour before your session! |
|
| |
|
|
Alternatively you can send your PPT via email to: ncmtp2011@gmail.com before the conference. |
|
| |
|
|
Technicians will capture your presentation and store it on a server. |
|
| |
|
|
You then rehearse your presentation with the assistance of a technician. |
|
| |
|
|
Technicians will help you with PowerPoint and will ensure that your changes are updated on the specific
Server. |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |

In the Conference Hall |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
|
At the conference hall you can simply "ask" for the "next slide" or "previous slide" |
|
| |
|
|
*There will be no possibility to connect your laptop at the conference hall! |
|
| |
|
|
* Each oral presentation must be presented by only one participant. |
|
| |
|
|
* A maximum of 10 minutes will be given to every presenter & there will be 3 minutes for Queries. |
