BCS-InSilico Biology (BCS-ISB) is a subsidiary of BECS Pvt. Ltd. an ISO 9001: 2008 Certified Company Specializing in applying the power of computational biology to build solutions to complex biological and data analysis problems faced by scientists, biotechnology companies and universities. BCS-ISB was established to meet the growing needs and demands of the bioinformatics industries for professionally trained candidates.

We are to assist and promote training, research and development in the emerging fields of Bioinformatics/Biotechnology. The aim and vision of the Company is to provide a platform for individuals, professionals, R&D Organizations, Pharmaceutical & Software companies to utilize and harness the Indian bioinformatics potential. Senior scientists of government labs, industrialists and educational institutions are providing continuous support to us.

Our growing development team consists to become a one stop center for hands on skills training in bioinformatics. We impart Bioinformatics education to PG & UG students and prepare them to meet the future challenges of Bioinformatics. BCS-ISB leads innovation in Bioinformatics, Database development, Computational Genomics, Proteomics and Comparative Genomics. Our Lab is fully equipped with various professional and academic bioinformatics software’s and high speed internet facility.

Bioinformatics Training and Services

BCS InSilico Biology provides opportunity to students from various universities and colleges take up projects, training and services in Bioinformatics. We conduct one month, 45 days, two and six month’s courses in various domains such as:

1. Molecular modeling & Drug designing, Microarray data analysis, R & Bioconductor, Biological Database development, Bioinformatics software development: Bioperl, Biojava, Biological sequence assembly and manipulation, Genome annotation, analysis, Gene finding and characterization, Bio-Linux, Comparative genomics: e.g. finding drug targets, Biological systems analysis, Phylogenetic analysis and Protein sequence annotation and characterization.

2. Industrial tours and visits to various CSIR, ICAR labs, 24 hours high speed internet, Stipend during project training to meritorious students, Various professional and academic software, Cooperative and helpful faculty, Full assistance for paper publication, model submission and paper presentations, Frequent Guest Lectures by various eminent scientists and lecturers from different Research Institutes and Universities and Workshops on various bioinformatics related topics are organized at regular intervals.
